Is the TI-30XS Allowed on the SAT, ACT, AP and GED?
Yes, on most of them. It’s one of the safest calculators to bring to a test because it can’t graph or store notes. The online version can’t go into the testing room, but practicing here means the real one will feel familiar. Policies change, so check the official testing website before exam day.

How to Use the TI-30XS Calculator Online: Step by Step
The calculator turns on by itself when the page loads. These ten steps cover the jobs students use it for most.
Know the 2nd key: Most keys have a small green label above them. Press 2nd first, then the key, to use that label. For example, 2nd then x² gives you a square root.
Do basic math with brackets: Type 45 + 18 ÷ 3 and press enter to get 51. Use the ( and ) keys in the second row to group parts of a problem: (2 + 3) × 4 gives 20.
Use negative numbers: Type the number, then press (−). For −5 × 3, type 5, press (−), then × 3 and enter. You’ll get −15. Use the regular − key only for subtraction.
Set degrees or radians: The screen shows DEG at the top. To change it, press mode, choose 2 for angle unit, then pick DEG, RAD or GRAD.
Use trig: To find sin 30°, type 30 and press sin. You’ll get 0.5. For the inverse, type 0.5 and press 2nd then sin to get 30.
Work with logs and exponentials: Type 100 and press log to get 2. Press ln for the natural log. To go the other way, type 3 and press 2nd then log (10ˣ) to get 1000, or use 2nd then ln for eˣ.
Powers, roots and factorials: Use ^ for any power, so 2 ^ 3 gives 8. Type 12 and press x² for 144, or type 144 and press 2nd then x² for its square root, 12. x⁻¹ turns 4 into 0.25, and 2nd then (−) gives a factorial, so 5 becomes 120.
Use π, e and your last answer: Press 2nd then × for π, and 2nd then ÷ for e. For the circumference of a circle with a 5 cm diameter, type 5 ×, add π and press enter. You’ll get about 15.708. Press 2nd then − (ans) to reuse that result.
Store numbers and change the display: Right after an answer, press sto→ to save it, then 2nd then sto→ (rcl) to bring it back later. Press mode and choose 1 to switch between NORM, FIX, SCI and ENG. FIX with 2 decimal places is handy for money and lab answers.
Fix mistakes and reset: del removes the last character and clear wipes the line. The ▲ and ▼ arrows bring back earlier entries. On a laptop you can type with your keyboard, including brackets. To reset everything, press 2nd then 0 and confirm.
